We are on a mission to make 100 dreams come true: our entire team, the heart and soul of Capitán Suizo, is heading to Switzerland for an unforgettable adventure.
Why we are going?
Hi! We are the Schmid family, the owners of Hotel Capitán Suizo and we would like to tell you about a huge project that we will carry out.
The history of Hotel Capitán Suizo began in 1992, when our family moved from Switzerland to Costa Rica. The hotel has offered thousands of unforgettable holidays to tourists from all over the world and received numerous awards for its product and service. This success was only possible thanks to our incredible team of 100 employees that work at the hotel. After receiving another great award from Condé Nast Traveler magazine in 2018, in which we were named as the best hotel in all of Central America and the Caribbean, we decided to also realize a dream for our collaborators; an experience that they would never forget. The goal is to take ALL employees to Switzerland.
For our 10-day trip we already have our flights and accommodations booked.

Planned Activities & sightseeing
For most of our team it will be the first time in Switzerland, the first time outside of Costa Rica and also the first time on a plane! We want this journey to be an unforgettable experience for them, so we are planning unique activities and memorable sightseeing during our time in Switzerland.
How can you support our journey

We work with joy and pride to make sure our guests have a wonderful experience at Capitán Suizo. Most of us (95%) are Costa Rican and the majority from the region of Guanacaste.
